Reis, in collaboration with Madera Surfaces, hosted The New Frontier: Growth Across the Mountain West; a panel discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges of delivering high-end projects across this rapidly expanding region.
Moderated by Laney Hensel, Director of Business Development for the Mountain West and Texas at Reis, the conversation brought together an exceptional group of industry leaders shaping this growth: Elise Clark (COO, Alder & Tweed), Tom Spoja (Partner, Backen & Backen), James Robb (Co-Founder, Madera Surfaces), and Scott Marchand (Founder, Arches Design Group).
Drawing on firsthand experience across complex residential projects, the panel explored the realities of building in this unique landscape: from navigating remote sites and complex logistics to meeting the evolving expectations of clients seeking thoughtfully designed homes in extraordinary settings. In fact, the Mountain West was the fastest-growing construction region in 2025, driven by population growth, the migration of high-net-worth buyers, and continued investment in resort communities and infrastructure.
For Reis, our work in the Mountain West represents a natural extension of the work we specialize in: delivering complex, highly detailed private residences in remarkable places.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a thoughtful discussion, and to the Madera Surfaces team for their beautiful space.
