Responsibilities:

This position will be the on-site construction manager, overseeing the on-site labor and partnering with the project management team. Responsibilities:

  • Plan construction projects by studying plans; ordering and scheduling materials and equipment, sequencing work, and orientating and scheduling field crews.
  • Reviewing and becoming familiar with the construction schedule and budget, and ensure adherence to both.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Monitor and inspect progress to ensure all work is completed following mandated building codes and policies, as well as environmental regulations, making note of errors or violations and giving instructions to correct them.
  • Meet with clients, providing them with information about the progress of construction, taking measures to quell any concerns, answer inquiries and give updated schedules
  • Identify and resolve potential site issues.
  • Train, coach, and supervise field crew.

  • Construct various frameworks such as cutting and drilling for structures including walls, ceiling and floors

This position will work in partnership with project management and leadership to prepare the job prior to start. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review the bid documents to establish a thorough understanding of the project scope and requirements
  • Interact with Architect/Designer/Owner Rep throughout bid process and generate RFI’s
  • Interact with proposed subcontractors throughout bid process
  • Prepares in-house scope of work and cost estimates for all trades
  • Prepares Request for Proposals for subcontractors on Company bid list
  • Arrange site inspection with Architect/Designer and coordinate with subcontractors
  • Prepares outline of project schedule
  • Qualify subcontractor bids and reconcile with in-house estimate
  • Review and confirm that subcontractor bids include the complete scope of work
  • Assists with maintenance of Company subcontractor database and historical cost database

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel and MS project

Business Development Activities:

  • Scheduling, confirming and follow-ups for all Meetings, events, and contacts.
